  Texas, with periods of extreme heat-related impacts across the
  Brush Country..

.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 128 AM CDT Sun Jul 26 2026

No changes were made to the forecast with this package. Heat will
continue to be a concern through next week, with heat index values
generally between 100-109. A moderate to major risk of heat-related
impacts are expected across South Texas, with periods of extreme
heat-related impacts over the Brush Country. Expect that heat
advisories may be needed as locations across the Coastal Bend
experience heat index values of 110-114. By the middle of the week,
there is some potential for isolated showers along the sea breeze as
a weak inverted trough introduces more moisture into the area.

&&

.AVIATION...
(06Z TAFS)
Issued at 128 AM CDT Sun Jul 26 2026

VFR conditions noted at issuance time, but will expect MVFR
VIS/CIG at ALI and VCT later in the night. Other sites should
remain mainly VFR. A stronger low level jet tomorrow night will
limit low flight category conditions.

&&

.MARINE...
Issued at 128 AM CDT Sun Jul 26 2026

Generally gentle to moderate (BF 3-4) breezes are expected through
the upcoming week. Winds across the southern bays and nearshore
waters will become moderate to fresh (BF 4-5) in the afternoons and
evenings by the middle of the week. Expect seas generally 2-4
feet.

&&

.FIRE WEATHER...
Issued at 128 AM CDT Sun Jul 26 2026

While minimum relative humidity values will fall below 35% across
the Brush Country through the upcoming week (30-40% over the Coastal
Plains), 20-foot winds generally below 15 mph and ERC values in the
30th percentile or below (50th percentile over portions of the Brush
Country) will limit fire weather concerns.
